I just want to thank you all so much for bearing with Brian and I as we get used to this new lifestyle of working hard and playing less.
We haven’t had time for many Thirsty Thursdays or elaborate dinners, but I trust you know the feeling. It’s called life.
I joked with my family this weekend that home ownership is no joke. I get that this place is only 500 square feet bigger than our last apartment, but it feels like a never ending clean/organize fest.
Anyway, with all this work and hardly any play, I need my energy/. And that is why I masked all of this dried fruit with chocolate in my granola bars. I get the extra boost and it tastes like chocolate. Win.
- Rolled Oats - 2 cups
- coconut - 1 cup
- wheat germ - 1/2 cup
- almond - 1 cup, sliced
- brown sugar - 1/4 cup
- honey - 1 cup
- butter - 4 tablespoons
- vanilla - 1 teaspoon
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- dried dates - 1/2 cup, chopped
- dried apricots - 1/2 cup, chopped
- dried cranberries - 1/2 cup
- dark chocolate chips - 3/4 cup
