Remember that one time last week when Brian was all “I need a hot toddy, I’m sick, whine, hiss, boo, cry.”
Like the loving wife I am, I made him chicken and biscuits, bought him throat coat and clearly, ice cream. I nursed him back to health. And what do I get in thanks?
His cold.
Thanks, dude. It’s what I’ve always wanted. So here I am, sweatpants, pony tail, couched with cats. Swollen eyes because I cried at the end of Dawson’s Creek (even though this is my 19th time watching it in it’s entirety and I clearly know what’s coming).
Before you get all “Whitney, that sounds like your dream life” let me remind you that it only feels good to veg in sweatpants when you don’t have to.
And so in return, I hope Brian is excited to buy me ice cream, slather me in vicks vapor rub, put socks on my feet and make me steak soup.
Because hell hath no whiners like a sick Whitney.
