Rosemary Mustard Pork Chop

Our friends at Sears asked us over here at Amuse Bouche to share what it is we love about grilling.  I have to be honest with you, my talents lie behind the stove.  I tend to be thrown off my game a little when I stand by the grill.  Mainly because my hair gets frizzy, and who can focus when you have a hair emergency on your hands, am I right?

But, I do find some of my fondest summer memories to be spent with friends at grill outs.  I also have to say I have worked out a really good gig, because Brian mans the grill for me, and not only do I get to spend all of my time chatting with friends, but they they congratulate me on a great dinner when in fact, I didn’t do any of the work.  It’s really quite amazing, the tricks we women can pull off.

And so to celebrate the coming grill season, I have the perfect grilling recipe for you, and a giveaway from our friends at Sears!  Because, momma needs a new grill. or shoes.  I know you do. Lucky for you, Sears has them both.

Rosemary Mustard Pork Chop with Orange Slaw

Summer Fresh.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

In a ziplock bag, combine the mustard, olive oil, rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper, and mix well.. Place tenderloins in the bag and make sure they are well coated in the mixture.  Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes or for up to 2 hours. Heat up your grill and place tenderloins on the grates. Grill,  turning twice on each side to give you lovely grill marks,  until a meat thermometer reads 145 degrees when inserted into the center, about  15 to 20 minutes. Top with the orange slaw, recipe below. In a mason jar, combine the orange juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, honey and champagne vinegar.  Place the lid firmly on the jar and shake well until emulsified.  Toss the pear, cabbage and orange zest together in a bowl, and top with the orange dressing.  The longer this sits in it’s juices, the yummier it becomes.
