Welcome to Whit’s Amuse Bouche!
My name is Whitney and I am a comfort food enthusiast and locavore. I currently live in Columbus, OH with my Husband, Brian (Dad), and my two cats, Chloe and Lady Buck-Jive. (B.J.)
Whit’s Amuse Bouche is your one stop shop for all things food, booze, and do-it-yourself craftery. Unless you’re Emily Post, then you are probably horrified. My diet consists mainly of red wine, chocolate, cheese, carbs, and more carbs. And more red wine.
What the eff does “Amuse Bouche” mean?
If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me this question, I’d have many superfluous kitchen gadgets. (Oh, wait…) While an Amuse Bouche is a one bite appetizer that many chefs will share to set the tone of their meal, it also literally means amused mouth in French. This blog is exactly that. A small (albeit hysterical) bite of my life.
About the Authors
We are the Abraham’s! We are high school sweethearts, and yes, we know how annoying that is. After dating one another for nearly a decade, we got hitched in June of 2011. Brian is right handed, analytical, and extremely great looking. He writes our Thirsty Thursday feature where we explore the possibilities of booze. He tweets about meat and drinks @thirstybouche. Whitney is left handed, emotional, and extremely inappropriate. She cooks, cleans, creates, and writes about everything else. She tweets about cats, Martha Stewart, and red wine @whitamusebouche.

The website looks so great! I love drooling over your food and laughing on the regular while reading
Hi! Found your site a few weeks ago and fell in love with your restaurant style steak. Returned to try it and the link to it no longer works. Please post it back – it sounded delicious!
Hi! Your fantastic restaurant style steak recipe has disappeared from your site. Any chance of recovering it? It sounded great!
Hi Ana, Sorry you’re having trouble. Some of the links changed with the transfer of the site design. That recipe is listed here: http://whitsamusebouche.com/restaurant-style/
I literally just woke my sleeping husband and son two rooms away, laughing as I read. We are not talking about that dainty bit of snikering that comes from lovely waif-like girls in pearls and pumps. This was a red-cheeked, leathery drunk fisherman’s guffaw. Blurry-eyed husband just asked, “Why are you still up – food or shoes?” Oh, he knows me so well… Love him of course, but I really LOVE your blog.
BAHAHA! Love it.
I just stumbled to your blog via pinterest and I love your humor after a very bad day..believe me it was bad, it was a welcome read and left me smiling – thanks!
I LOVE YOUR BLOG! I love food, witty, well written comments, and wine and can’t wait to try your restaurant style steak! keep up the great work
Just found your Blog via Pinterest. Love your witty style and great recipes. I am a foody and love all kinds of crafts too. Looking forward to working my way through all of your recipes. Tell Brian he has done a fantastic job with the web site. BTW, as Arizona residents we’re sorry to see you leave beautiful Colorado, but good luck in your new home in Ohio.
